I don't think humans have changed. I think we have been pretty much the same creatures throughout all our human history. Same as when we first came to be known as humans. All our differences has always existed and we learn ways to pass down the knowledge of what it means to live part of this cosmos. Religion is something that is spiritual in nature. Something we accept without understanding but really it is a way of teaching what is important to being a healthy human being on this planet that is part of a larger system. What are important ways of life? How to love. How to share. How to appreciate. How to eat. How to approach life. How to respect everything we are apart of.
What is easy is to follow the beliefs we were raised on. To follow the pre-structured thought handed down to us by the people we trust and love. What is not easy, is to question your beliefs in the world and learn for own yourself why you choose to believe in the ideas and concept you pre-enact through uncritical teachings by our fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, and the people we have worldly and emotional attachments with.
I just don't know why people think humans have to fight wars. I just don't get why people think war is part of human nature. I just don't know how people can think collective killing is acceptable. I just don't understand people who say war is a necessary evil. I just don't get why we can't all learn how to channel our emotions to be all about love. I am full of hope. At least there is that. I have decided for myself what is right and what is wrong. I am sticking to it. I found a wonderful group advocating for world peace. If we all wish for it and if we all act upon our morals we believe in, true security in life we hold so precious is achievable. http://www.genuinesecurity.org/partners/index.html
I want to change our predilection to cater to societal needs rather than individual convenience and entertainment. Entertainment is an agreeable occupation for the mind; diversion; amusement. Entertainment distracts us from our needs to fulfill a craving rather than a need. Art asks questions and challenges notions of acceptance. Art fills us with culture that develops ways of thinking through diversity and open mindedness fulfilling our needs as human beings.
I want to reach out to those who do not have control of themselves. I want people who are controlled and manipulated by others to find themself. I want them to realize their worth and gain power to speak out against any injustice they are ruled by.
First step is to become aware of oneself and the role we choose to play.
Systematic oppression is created through the acceptance of the collective human experience. The acceptance of systematic oppression is the easy way out. Fighting oppression is a tiring place full of loneliness. Oppression is so because it is not heard of and recognized as a human suffering worth concurring by the hegemonic. When we ourselves are not immediately influenced negatively by subversive power, we accept the trouble of the world as unavoidable. That same unavoidable feeling that is accepted leads to harmful teachings.
Sideline of hegemonic discourse need a way to be integrated into the larger dialog. The work of Thomas Hirschhorn and his philosophy of “ENERGY YES”, “QUALITY NO” takes action to create an educational experience through the face of art, regardless of the class and economic barriers many have. Hence, I want to explore methods to inspire the people comfortable with the system to have compassion and thoughtfulness to...
We are creatures called humans. We are creatures because of the categorization of our breed as humans in the layered epoch. Communication and love can unify humans to humans, so we can feel the deeper connection to the Cosmos.
Objects create a unique perspective when intermingled and combined with other forms of communication and presentation. I'm interested in how we learn about ourselves and our environment through the everyday interaction with objects in space. I'm interested in tastes that develop through psychoanalysis of ourselves and others around us. Objects and things can say a lot about who we are that uses it and adore it. How am I defined through the material associations?
